And he hasn’t been shy in using his legendary status to speak out against Bad Bunny‘s controversial selection as the halftime headliner.

The Puerto Rican, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, has been publicly critical of president Donald Trump.

That meant he wasn’t a universally popular choice when he was selected to fill the coveted slot five months ago.

Favre was one of the ex-pros to chime in, saying: “I’d pick someone who loves this country and that everyone could relate to.”
