Belgian point guard Julie Allemand (1.73 m, 29 years old) achieved a remarkable feat during her team, the Los Angeles Sparks’, victory over the Connecticut Sun (102-91).

The Liège native, playing for the Los Angeles Sparks, tallied 10 points (5/7 shooting), 11 assists, and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes of play. This was her first career triple-double, and she also tied her career highs for rebounds and assists in a single game.

“It’s just incredible. I can’t express everything I’m feeling, thank you all,” said the 2023 and 2025 European champion. “I’m happy we won. It was important for us. We know we’re good offensively and that we can do better defensively. We saw that again today. Today was a team victory, we have to keep this going. We want to make the playoffs.”

“She was really effective today, she was really good,” said Sparks coach Lynne Roberts. “In the second half, it was impossible to take her out of the game. … She was just incredible.” This is the Sparks’ 14th win in 29 games, and more importantly, their third consecutive win and eighth in nine games.

The LA team is tied for ninth place with the Golden State Valkyries, their next opponent. Connecticut remains in last place with only 5 wins in 29 games.

For coach Rachid Méziane’s team, Bria Hartley scored 16 points, Leïla Lacan 10 and dished out 7 assists, and Migna Touré 7. Connecticut is firmly at the bottom of the standings with 5 wins and 24 losses.
