Utah women’s basketball’s Alissa Pili has been named to the Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year Midseason Team.

She’s averaging 21.7 points per game so far this season, ranking No. 13 in the NCAA. She’s racked up 543 total points this season which is No. 5 in the NCAA. She is 26th in the nation in field goal percentage as she’s shooting 26.8 percent this season.

Pili is shooting 40.4 percent from the three this season. She’s gone 91-114 from the free throw line for 79.8 percent. She’s averaging 5.8 rebounds per game and racked up 61 total assists, 24 steals and 22 blocks.
Pili caught national attention after putting up a career-high 37 points against No. 1 South Carolina on Dec. 10. Against the Gamecocks, Pili shot 65.2 percent from the field going 15-23. She went 3-6 from beyond the arc and 4-4 from the free throw line. She also managed two rebounds, one assist and three steals.

Pili was a Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference selection for this season. She was recently ranked at No. 4 on ESPN’s WBB Top 25 players list. She earned an honorable mention on the AP Preseason All-American list and was also named to the preseason Naismith Award Watchlist and Wade Trophy Preseason Watchlist.
Recently Pili was named to the Wooden Late Season Top 20 list as well as a Top 10 candidate for the Katrina McClain Award.
Pili was a WBCA All-American last season and was named an AP and USBWA Second Team All-American. She was the 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year and earned Pac-12 All-Conference honors.
She ended the 2022-23 season 16th in the nation in scoring averaging 20.7 points per game. She was also 14th in the nation in field goal percentage shooting 59 percent on the year.
Pili averaged 5.6 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game. She also shot 42 percent from the three and 79 percent from the free throw line.
