Emma Meesseman and Julie Allemand added another trophy to their collection on Sunday, winning the Turkish Women’s Basketball Cup with their club, Fenerbahçe. Meesseman was once again named MVP, the team’s best player.
The 32-year-old Flemish center now boasts 26 career club titles, while the 29-year-old Liège-born point guard adds a 15th title to her resume in the cup and league categories.

Fenerbahçe defeated Galatasaray 86-66 in the Final Four final of the traditional Istanbul derby, played in Denizli. Meesseman tallied 17 points (8/10 from two-point range, 1/2 from the free-throw line), 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in 29 minutes.
Julie Allemand scored 8 points and dished out 4 assists (along with 2 steals and 1 rebound) in 18 minutes of play.
The previous day, Emma Meesseman had recorded a triple-double – 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists – in the semifinal victory against CBK Mersin and Julie Vanloo. Julie Allemand had contributed 8 points and 5 assists.

This is Fenerbahçe’s second trophy of the season, having won the President’s Cup (the equivalent of the Turkish Super Cup) in early December. The Turkish champions remain undefeated this season in 25 games across all competitions.
