In a stunning turn of events that has set the NFL world ablaze, Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons unleashed a barrage of mockery aimed at his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, and owner Jerry Jones via social media on Thursday. The former Cowboy, who was traded to Green Bay ahead of the 2025 season, didn’t hold back in responding to comments from Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, highlighting the ongoing bad blood between Parsons and his old franchise.

Parsons, now donning the green and gold of the Packers, shared a report quoting Eberflus, who attributed the Cowboys’ defensive woes in 2025 to Parsons’ departure. “Obviously, you have an All-Pro pass rusher that wins really quick [Parsons] that’s certainly going to help any defense if it’s Micah or if it’s Myles [Garrett] or whoever that might be. But that impact player is always going to help to a certain degree in pass downs and other downs,” Eberflus stated. He added, “Again, you can’t look back, right? It is what it is, and then you just focus where you are.”

The Packers linebacker reposted the quote on X (formerly Twitter) accompanied by a string of laughing emojis, clearly finding humor in the Cowboys’ struggles without him. This initial post quickly went viral, drawing reactions from fans and analysts alike.

But Parsons wasn’t done. In a follow-up X post, he directly targeted Jerry Jones, accusing the Cowboys owner of slandering his name. “Y’all want me to feel bad? Jerry Jones slandered my name to Cowboys media and national media for months. So I do think I can react to comment if I want to!” Parsons wrote, pulling no punches in his public rebuke.

The feud traces back to the contentious trade in August 2025, when Parsons publicly requested a move away from Dallas, citing issues with Jones and the organization. In a statement at the time, Parsons expressed his frustrations: “I no longer want to held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying it on the line for the organization, our fans and my teammates. I no longer want narratives created and spread to the media about me. I had purposely stayed quiet in hopes of getting something done.”

The tension escalated earlier in the year when Jones commented on Parsons’ durability following a 2024 injury. “He was hurt six games last year, seriously,” Jones said. “I remember signing a player for the highest-paid at the position in the league, and he got knocked out two-thirds of the year in Dak Prescott. So, there [are] a lot of things you can think about, just as the player does, when you’re thinking about committing and guaranteeing money.”

Jones later appeared on Cowboys legend Michael Irvin’s show in August, claiming that a deal had been nearly finalized before Parsons’ agent intervened. “When we wanted to send the details to the agent, the agent told us to stick it up our a–,” Jones alleged. “Micah and I talked, and then we were going to send it over to the agent. We had our agreements on term, amount, guarantees — everything. We were gonna send it over to the agent, and the agent said, ‘Don’t bother because we’ve got all that to negotiate.’ Well, I’d already negotiated that. I’d already moved off my mark on several areas.”

He continued, “The agent is trying to get his nose in it right now and try to come in there and improve off the mark that we’d already said. It would have made him the highest-paid guaranteed player, other than a quarterback, in the NFL. The world would know that I want Micah if they knew what I had offered him. And he knows what I offered him. So, the world would know that I want Micah to play on the team and that I respect him for what he can bring to the team.”

The Cowboys’ 2025 season was a disaster, marked by defensive collapses that kept them out of the playoffs for the 30th straight year without a Super Bowl appearance. Meanwhile, Parsons’ time in Green Bay has been cut short by a season-ending injury, adding another layer of irony to the saga.

This social media tirade comes amid other Cowboys news, including Jerry Jones revealing he dressed as Santa Claus for the players before their Christmas Day victory over the Commanders in 2025. However, the focus remains on the fractured relationship between Parsons and Jones.

Analysts are buzzing about the implications, with some speculating on whether the Packers “stole” Parsons and if it positions them as Super Bowl favorites. As the dust settles, one thing is clear: the bad blood between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys shows no signs of cooling off anytime soon.
