Sabrina Ionescu is a professional basketball player currently signed by New York Liberty.
The WNBA player was born in Walnut Creek, California on December 6, 1997.
She spent her college years playing for the Oregon Ducks where she became the NCAA all-time leader in career triple-doubles.
Sabrina is also the only NCAA Division I basketball player to record 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
How did Hroniss and Sabrina meet?
Hroniss Grasu and Sabrina Ionescu attended the University of Oregon, albeit at different times.
The couple met at an Oregon Ducks alumni event.
“It’s a great love story. A little Oregon Ducks love story,” Ionescu told the CBS morning show.
“He played football at the University of Oregon. He’s a little older than me but we met as alumni from there and we’re now getting married in a couple of months.”
He proposed to Sabrina in January 2023, two years after they made their relationship public.
The couple said ‘I do’ in March 2024.

In 2020, Sabrina was drafted as the first overall pick by the New York Liberty.
Forbes included her in their 2022 30 Under 30 list for sports.
On February 17, 2024, she competed in a 3-point contest against Stephen Curry during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
