Aussie football megastar Sam Kerr has tied the knot with long-time partner and fellow footballer Kristie Mewis in a private ceremony in Perth.
The power couple exchanged vows in Kerr’s hometown, in the Swan Valley Region on New Year’s Eve.
It marks the end of a massive year for the pair who welcomed their first son Jagger in May.
Mewis walked down the aisle dressed in an elegant white dress with a long-flowing veil.
Kerr was dressed in a black tuxedo, seen arriving at the ceremony with a baby bottle in hand.
Jagger was carried down the aisle by Kerr, leaving Mewis in tears.
“That’s going to be gut-wrenching for me. I will sob when that happens,” Mewis said in the lead up to the wedding.
The wedding was attended by around 120 guests at a private ceremony in the Swan Valley, north east of Perth.

Kerr, 30, and Mewis, 33, became engaged in 2021 and welcomed their son in May 2024.
The relationship began publicly in 2020 after they met through international football commitments, with Kerr an international superstar representing Australia’s Matildas and Mewis an international star for Team USA.
Mewis confirmed some wedding details on her podcast Mewis Squared, revealing more than 100 people would attend, including teammates from both the Matildas and the United States national team.
“Talking to 120 people in one night is a lot,” Mewis said. “I’m stressing about not being able to give enough time to everyone.”

Mewis confirmed there would be no extended honeymoon due to club football commitments with Kerr’s Chelsea team playing their next fixture on January 11 against West Ham United.

Kerr debuted for the Matildas at just 15 and has since become Australia’s all-time leading goal scorer across men’s and women’s internationals.
Her record currently stands at 69 goals from over 120 appearances. She is a four-time Golden Boot winner in the NWSL and has scored more than 60 goals for Chelsea since joining the club in 2020.
